KINESIOLOGIST POSITION

SHIFT Rehab Services offers community-based rehabilitation programs in the Okanagan. We are seeking an experienced Kinesiologist with related experience to implement clinician directed physical, cognitive, work conditioning/hardening, functional, and community re-integration programs to join the growing SHIFT team. This position is part-time to start, but has the potential to be full-time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assess new client’s and make program recommendations based on your findings
• Provide 1:1 active rehabilitation programs in the community
• Design exercise programs utilizing Physiotec or similar software
• Manage client’s files with appropriate charting, communication (both written and oral), write reports, etc.
• Update electronic charting with outcomes and client progress
• Communicate regularly with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Claims Handlers, and other members of the client’s rehabilitation team

REQUIREMENTS:

• A bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics
• Be a member in good standing with BCAK
• Must hold professional and commercial general liability insurance
• Hold current first aid and CPR
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Passion for your work and ability to build a strong rapport with your clients
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Geriatric and neurological experience an asset
• Must have own vehicle, valid driver’s license, and appropriate insurance
• Social media and advertising experience are an asset
